Our goal
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA across NoraHire.
What we do
- Every page works with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus outline.
- Form fields have labels, and errors are written next to the field and read out by screen readers.
- Buttons and links are at least 44 pixels tall, so they are easy to tap.
- Text and controls meet colour contrast rules, and colour is never the only way information is shown.
- Pages reflow on small screens down to 320 pixels wide, without sideways scrolling.
- Icons are hidden from screen readers when they are decoration, and labelled when they carry meaning.
- Text can be zoomed to 200% without losing content.
Known issues
- Illustrations on the sign-in page are decorative and do not have text descriptions.
- Uploaded company logos may not have a text alternative beyond the company name.
How we check new screens
- Keyboard only, in Chrome, Firefox and Safari.
- Screen readers: NVDA on Windows, VoiceOver on macOS and iOS, TalkBack on Android.
- Browser zoom and system text size settings.
